Upcoming Events

Posted on Sep 12 2016 - 1:42pm

A couple upcoming events that we wanted to make sure everyone knew about:

1.  This Sunday, Sept 18th, we are doing the "Sustainability" merit badge (note that this is an eagle required badge ...
you have to do either E-Science or Sustainability) at Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary in Natick, MA.  We'll meet at
Andy's Trucking at 9:45 to leave at 9:55, and return aprox 1:00/1:15.  Cost is $10/scout.  We need a final headcount
with payment at this Thursday's meeting.

2.  The SOAR (Scouting's Outdoor Adventure on the River) camping trip
is coming up Sat - Mon, Oct 8 - 10 (Columbus Day weekend).  Scouts from all over will be camping in Boston on the Charles river with
TONS of activities !  It looks super cool !
We need a final headcount with payment this Thursday (the registration deadline is this Thursday night).
Cost is $40/scout.  Note that the troop is heavily subsidizing this camping trip, in order to keep the cost

3.  Please bring your books to this week's meeting so that we can have an accurate idea of which scouts need
which advancement requirements so that we can plan them into upcoming meetings.

Meet at 2:30 PM in the Sears parking lot.  The cleanup is expected to last 2 hours and and will conclude at Dairy Queen (the troop will treat all volunteers to ice cream), with parent pickup at DQ at 5:00 PM.  Given the lack of sidewalks of certain sections of Pond Street, ample adult volunteers would be most appreciated!
